Imphal, Manipur: The Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipur University, has officially revised the admission schedule for B.Tech and M.Tech programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. The updated notification partially modifies the earlier admission notice issued on 4 June 2026 and introduces new application deadlines, entrance test dates, counselling schedules, and admission timelines for various engineering programmes.

The revised schedule is applicable to B.Tech (Non-JEE), B.Tech Lateral Entry, and M.Tech (Non-GATE) admissions, while the schedule for B.Tech (JEE) and M.Tech (GATE) remains largely unchanged.

Revised Admission Schedule

According to the latest notification:

• Last date to apply online for B.Tech (Non-JEE), B.Tech Lateral Entry, and M.Tech (Non-GATE) has been extended to 25 June 2026.
• Admit cards for entrance-based programmes will be released on 28 June 2026.
• Admission tests will be conducted on 30 June 2026.
• Counselling for B.Tech Lateral Entry and M.Tech (Non-GATE) candidates will be held on 3 July 2026.
• The provisional allotment list for these programmes will also be published on 3 July 2026.
• The last date for admission is 15 July 2026.

For B.Tech (JEE) candidates, the allotment list will be published on 10 June 2026, and admissions will conclude on 21 June 2026. Meanwhile, the M.Tech (GATE) provisional selection list will be released on 19 June 2026.

Document Verification During Counselling

MIT has informed candidates that those participating in counselling must report physically to the MIT campus on the scheduled counselling date with their original documents for verification. Admission will be confirmed only after successful document verification.

The revised schedule is applicable to admissions in:

• B.Tech (Non-JEE)
• B.Tech Lateral Entry
• M.Tech (Non-GATE)
• M.Tech (GATE)
• B.Tech through JEE Main

Candidates who have not yet completed their application for eligible programmes should submit their online forms before the revised deadline.
