Manipur Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipur University has announced admissions to vacant seats in selected B.Tech and M.Tech programmes for the 2026–27 academic session.

According to the official notification issued on 17 July 2026, eligible candidates can submit their applications online through the Manipur University SAMARTH Admission Portal from 20 July 2026 to 26 July 2026.

Programmes Available

Admissions are open for the following programmes:

B.Tech (First Semester)

• Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
• Electrical Engineering (EE)
• Mechanical Engineering (ME)

M.Tech

• Civil Engineering
• Computer Science & Engineering
• Electronics & Communication Engineering

Eligibility Criteria

For B.Tech admissions, candidates must:

• Have passed 10+2 with the prescribed subjects as per AICTE norms.
• Obtain at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying subjects (40% for reserved category candidates).

For M.Tech admissions, candidates must:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in the relevant branch of Engineering.
• Secure a minimum CGPA of 6.5 or 60% marks (First Class).

The university has stated that selection will be based purely on merit in the qualifying examination.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay the following online application fee:

• INR 300 – UR/OBC/EWS candidates
• INR 200 – SC/ST candidates
