The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension of the deadline for confirming, correcting, or updating bank account details for the refund of examination fees related to the cancelled NEET UG 2026 examination held on 3 May 2026.According to the public notice issued on 30 June 2026, eligible candidates can now update their bank account details on the official NEET portal until 7 July 2026 (11:50 PM).

Why Has the Deadline Been Extended?

NTA had earlier invited candidates to submit their bank account details so that the examination fee could be refunded after the cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 examination conducted on 3 May 2026.

Following several requests from candidates regarding incorrect bank account numbers and IFSC codes, the agency reopened the correction facility on 25 June 2026. To ensure that every eligible candidate receives the refund without any inconvenience, NTA has now provided one final extension.

Who Should Update Their Details?

Candidates should log in if they wish to:

• Confirm their existing bank account details.
• Correct incorrect bank account numbers or IFSC codes.
• Update bank account information.
• Submit details if they have not completed the process earlier.

Once submitted after the required verification, the bank account details will be treated as final.

How to Update Bank Account Details?

Candidates can complete the process by following these steps:

• Visit the official NEET UG 2026 registration portal.(Click here)
• Log in using their application credentials.
• Complete the two-factor authentication process.
• Click on the "Bank Account Details Confirmation/Updation" link.
• Verify or update bank account information.
• Optionally upload a cancelled cheque to ensure the accuracy of bank details.
• Submit the information before the deadline.

Important Deadline

The bank account confirmation and correction facility will remain available until 7 July 2026 (11:50 PM).Candidates are advised not to wait until the last day and should carefully verify all banking information before final submission to avoid delays in receiving the refund.
