The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a fresh public notice regarding the refund of the NEET UG 2026 examination fee for candidates who appeared in the examination held on 3 May 2026.

According to the notification issued on 14 July 2026, the NTA has already started processing refunds after receiving bank account details from eligible candidates. However, the agency stated that only 11,46,401 candidates had submitted their bank account details as of 14 July 2026.

To ensure that all eligible candidates receive their refunds, the NTA has extended the facility for updating bank account details.

Bank Details Can Be Updated Till July 31

Candidates who have not yet submitted or updated their bank account details can now do so up to 31 July 2026 (11:50 PM) through the official NEET UG portal.

The refund amount will be transferred directly to the bank account provided by the candidate. Candidates are advised to ensure that the account details entered are accurate to avoid delays in processing the refund.

Refund Process Already Underway

The NTA has confirmed that the refund process has already commenced for candidates who have successfully submitted their bank account details. Candidates who fail to update their information before the deadline may face delays in receiving the refund.

Candidates Advised to Complete the Process Early

Eligible candidates should log in to the official NEET UG website and verify or update their bank account details well before the closing date.
