The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the opening of a Bank Account Re-confirmation/Correction Window for candidates who appeared in NEET (UG) 2026, conducted on 3 May 2026. The initiative aims to ensure the successful processing of examination fee refunds by allowing candidates to verify and correct their bank account details.
According to the public notice issued on 14 June 2026, NTA observed discrepancies in the bank account information submitted by several candidates, including incorrect account numbers and incomplete details. In response to multiple requests received from aspirants, the agency has decided to provide another opportunity for candidates to update their banking information.
To enhance the security of candidates' personal and financial data, the correction facility will be accessible only through OTP-based Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) using the registered mobile number. After successful authentication, candidates will be able to view, verify, update, or confirm their bank account details through the NEET UG 2026 portal. Click here
Candidates are required to log in using their Application Number and Password and carefully verify details such as the beneficiary name, bank account number, confirmed account number, bank name, and IFSC code. NTA has also advised candidates to optionally upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque or the first page of their bank passbook containing the account information to avoid refund-related issues.
The agency has instructed candidates to ensure that all details belong to the intended beneficiary and to maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials and OTP. Importantly, candidates must complete the bank account verification and correction process before downloading their NEET UG 2026 admit card.
For any assistance related to the refund process, candidates can contact the NTA helpdesk through the official helpline numbers or email support. Aspirants are also advised to regularly check the official NEET website for the latest updates and announcements.
