North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, has officially started the admission process for a wide range of Postgraduate (PG) programmes for the 2026-27 academic session. Eligible candidates can now apply online for MA, MSc, MBA, M.Ed., LL.M., M.Com., M.Lib.I.Sc., MSW, PG Diploma, and other master's programmes offered at the Shillong and Tura campuses.

According to the official admission notification, the last date to submit the online application form is 6 July 2026. Students who have completed or are appearing in their final-year graduation examinations are also eligible to apply, subject to fulfilling the prescribed eligibility criteria.

PG admissions based on CUET PG 2026

NEHU has clarified that all applicants seeking admission to Master's degree programmes must possess a valid CUET PG 2026 score. However, MBA programmes also accept valid MAT scores, while applicants for certain PG Diploma programmes can apply through the university's non-CUET admission portal.

The university is offering admissions across multiple disciplines, including:

• Master of Arts (MA)
• Master of Science (MSc)
• Master of Commerce (M.Com.)
• Master of Education (M.Ed.)
• Master of Laws (LL.M.)
• Master of Social Work (MSW)
• Master of Library and Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.)
• MBA (General, Service Management, Tourism & Travel Management, Agribusiness Management)
• PG Diploma programmes in Music, Painting, and Geoinformatics

Both Shillong Campus and Tura Campus will offer various postgraduate programmes.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates applying for master's programmes must possess:

• A recognised bachelor's degree in the relevant discipline.
• A valid CUET PG 2026 score for applicable programmes.
• Programme-specific eligibility conditions prescribed by the university.
• Candidates under the EWS category must produce a valid Income and Asset Certificate during document verification.

Students appearing for their qualifying examinations are also permitted to apply provisionally.
