The North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU) has officially extended the online application deadline for admission to various Postgraduate programmes offered at its Shillong and Tura campuses for the 2026–27 academic session. As per the notification issued on 7 July 2026, candidates can now submit their online applications up to 24 July 2026, providing additional time for eligible applicants to complete the admission process.The extension applies to a wide range of postgraduate programmes across Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, Education, Law, Library Science, Management and PG Diploma courses.

NEHU Extends PG Admission Deadline

The university has extended the application deadline for admissions to programmes including:

• MA
• MSc
• MTech
• MBA
• MEd
• LL.M.
• M.Com.
• M.Lib.I.Sc.
• MSW
• PG Diploma Programmes

Admissions are available at both the Shillong Campus and Tura Campus.

Courses Offered at Shillong Campus

The extension covers admissions to several programmes, including:

• MA in Anthropology, Economics, Education, English, Geography, History, Hindi, Khasi, Linguistics, Philosophy, Political Science, Sociology and others.
• MSc in Anthropology, Biochemistry, Botany, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, Geology and Economics.
• M.Tech in Biomedical Engineering and Information Technology.
• MBA and other master's programmes including M.Ed., LL.M., M.Com. and M.Lib.I.Sc.
• PG Diploma programmes in Painting, Music and Geoinformatics.

Courses Offered at Tura Campus

NEHU has also extended admissions for programmes offered at the Tura Campus, including:

• MA in English, Education, Garo, History & Archaeology.
• MSc in Rural Development & Agricultural Production, Horticulture, Forestry and Food Technology.
• Master of Social Work (MSW).
• MBA (General), MBA (Service Management) and MBA (Agri-Business Management).

Eligible candidates can now complete the online application process on or before 24 July 2026 through the university's official admission portal.
