The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) has officially announced the counselling and admission schedule for candidates who qualified in NEE 2026 for admission to Certificate, Degree, B.Tech, B.Sc., and BBA programmes for the 2026–27 academic session.

According to the official notification, candidates whose names appear in the selected, waiting, or extended waiting lists must complete the online counselling registration and attend the physical counselling process as per the prescribed schedule. Online counselling registration opened on 1 June 2026, and candidates are required to submit the counselling form before their respective counselling date.

Candidates must register through the official counselling portal by paying a non-refundable counselling fee of ?1,500. NERIST has clarified that failure to complete the counselling registration or absence during the scheduled counselling will be treated as disinterest in admission, leading to cancellation of candidature.

• NEE-III Degree Module Counselling: 2 July 2026
• NEE-II Degree Module Counselling: 3–4 July 2026
• NEE-I Certificate Module Counselling: 6–7 July 2026
• Second Round Counselling (Vacant Seats): 8–9 July 2026
• Spot Counselling (Subject to Vacancies): 15 July 2026
• Freshers' Orientation Programme: 16 July 2026
• Commencement of Classes: 17 July 2026

Candidates must report at the institute on the specified date and time for document verification and seat allotment.

Documents Required

Applicants must carry original documents, including Class X and XII certificates, qualifying examination mark sheets, migration certificate, Aadhaar card, category certificate (if applicable), permanent resident certificate for state quota candidates, income certificate, medical fitness certificate, bank account details, and other supporting documents as prescribed by the institute.

Admission Fee

After seat allotment, candidates will have to pay the admission fee online.

• Certificate Courses: Approximately ?22,100
• B.Tech/B.Sc. Courses: Approximately ?26,200
• BBA Course: Approximately ?29,500
