The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) has released the official counselling and admission schedule for candidates selected for Postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes for the 2026–27 academic session.

Candidates whose names appear in the merit list must report for counselling on the scheduled dates to complete document verification, fee payment and admission formalities.

Counselling Schedule

NERIST has announced the following counselling dates:

Documents Required

Candidates should carry original and self-attested copies of:

• Application Form
• Fee Payment Receipt
• Entrance Test Score Card (where applicable)
• Class 10 & 12 Certificates
• Graduation/Postgraduation Mark Sheets
• Category Certificate (if applicable)
• Aadhaar Card
• Passport-size Photographs
• Character Certificate

Admission Confirmation

Admission will be confirmed only after:

• Successful document verification
• Payment of prescribed admission fee
• Completion of course registration

Failure to report on the scheduled counselling date may result in cancellation of candidature.

Spot Admission

NERIST will conduct a Spot Admission Round on 15 July 2026 to fill any remaining vacant seats after the regular counselling process.Eligible candidates are advised to monitor the institute's website for vacancy details.
