The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Arunachal Pradesh, has opened admissions for various Postgraduate and Ph.D. programmes for the 2026–27 academic session. The institute is inviting applications for M.Tech., M.Sc., MBA (Full-Time), and Ph.D. (Full-Time/Part-Time) programmes across multiple disciplines.

Candidates can submit their applications through the official online admission portal after ensuring they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.

Courses Offered

NERIST is offering admissions to:

• M.Tech.
• M.Sc.
• MBA (Full-Time)
• Ph.D. (Full-Time & Part-Time)

The programmes are available across Engineering, Science, Forestry and Management departments.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy the programme-specific educational qualifications.

Some of the major eligibility requirements include:

• M.Tech.: B.E./B.Tech. in the relevant discipline with minimum 60% marks or CGPA 6.5.
• M.Sc.: Relevant Bachelor's degree with required qualifying marks.
• MBA: Bachelor's degree with 55% aggregate marks.
• Ph.D.: Master's degree in the relevant discipline with prescribed minimum marks.

Candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for relaxation as per Government of India norms.

Admission Process

Admissions will be based on entrance examinations conducted by NERIST.

However,

• GATE-qualified candidates are exempted from the M.Tech. entrance examination.
• CAT/MAT-qualified candidates receive exemption from the MBA written examination.
• NET/GATE-qualified candidates applying for Ph.D. are exempted from the written test but must appear for the interview.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of INR 1,500 through online payment mode.
