The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the official schedule for the National Initiative for Technical Teachers Training (NITTT) Examination for candidates of the April–May 2026 Semester. The examination is conducted for inductee teachers of AICTE-approved institutions to assess their professional teaching competencies as part of the mandatory NITTT programme.

According to the official public notice dated 23 July 2026, the examinations will be conducted on 31 July, 1 August, 7 August, and 8 August 2026 in Internet-Based Remote Proctored mode.

NITTT 2026 Exam Schedule

The examination will be held in two shifts each day:

• Shift 1: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
• Shift 2: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Each paper will have a duration of 2 hours (120 minutes).

Exam Pattern

The NITTT examination will consist of:

• Mode: Online (Internet-Based Remote Proctored)
• Duration: 120 Minutes
• Question Type: Objective Type
• Total Questions: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
• Medium: English Only

Admit Card Released

Candidates can download their admit cards from 23 July 2026 onwards through the official NITTT portal.

NTA has advised candidates to carefully read all instructions mentioned on the admit card before appearing for the examination.

Webinar and Mock Test Schedule

To familiarise candidates with the remote-proctored examination process, NTA will conduct:

• Webinar: 27 July 2026 (3:00 PM to 4:30 PM)
• Mock Test: 28 July 2026 (10:00 AM to 6:00 PM)

The detailed joining instructions for both the webinar and mock test will be shared through the admit card and registered email addresses.

Remote-Proctored Exam Guidelines

Candidates must follow the examination rules strictly during the online test:

• The examination will be monitored by live human proctors.
• Candidates must respond immediately to any instruction received through the chat window.
• They may be asked to rotate their webcam or laptop to display their surroundings.
• Sheets of paper or rough work are not permitted during the examination.
• Candidates may keep only:
  • Admit Card
  • Valid Photo ID
  • Transparent water bottle

NTA has warned that any suspicious activity or violation of examination rules may result in termination of the examination.
