The Selection Committee, Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DME&R), Tamil Nadu, has officially notified that the application window for MBBS and BDS admissions 2026–27 will close on 23 July 2026 at 5:00 PM.
According to the notification issued on 17 July 2026, candidates seeking admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses in Tamil Nadu must complete the online application process before the deadline. The Selection Committee has clearly stated that the application deadline will not be extended further.
The Selection Committee informed that the UG Medical application portal opened on 29 June 2026, while the list of required documents was published on 28 April 2026 to provide students sufficient time for preparing and submitting their applications.
So far, more than 41,000 completed applications have been received for MBBS and BDS admissions in the state.
Following the declaration of the NEET UG 2026 results on 16 July 2026, the application portal has been kept open for an additional week to facilitate eligible candidates.
