Tezpur University has started the admission process for its M.Sc Molecular Biology and Biotechnology programme for the academic session 2026-27. The university has invited online applications from candidates who have qualified in GAT-B 2026 (Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology).

According to the official admission announcement released on 17 June 2026, eligible candidates can submit their online applications through the university admission portal until 10 July 2026. Candidates with a valid GAT-B 2026 score can apply by visiting the university’s admission website and completing the online registration process.

The Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology will admit 30 students based on GAT-B 2026 ranks and the Government of India reservation policy. Out of the total seats, 10 seats are reserved for candidates from North-Eastern states. Applicants seeking admission under the North-East quota must upload a valid Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) issued by the competent authority of any North-Eastern state.

To be eligible, candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines such as Biological Sciences, Physical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Veterinary Sciences, Fisheries Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering, Technology, Medicine, or related fields with the prescribed minimum marks.

As per the admission schedule, the first admission list will be published on 13 July 2026, while online admission for selected candidates will take place from 14 July to 20 July 2026. If seats remain vacant, a second admission list will be released on 21 July 2026, followed by admissions from 22 July to 24 July 2026. Physical document verification is scheduled for 28 July 2026, and classes will commence on 29 July 2026.
