Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) has issued a public notice announcing the extension of the Round 1 seat confirmation fee payment deadline under the UPTAC 2026 counselling process.

According to the official notification issued on 20 July 2026, candidates who have been allotted seats in B.Tech, Integrated M.Tech, and B.Des programmes can now complete the seat confirmation fee payment until 22 July 2026, 6:00 PM.

The university has clarified that only the fee payment deadline has been extended, while the remaining counselling and admission schedule will continue as per the previously announced timetable.

Revised Deadline

Candidates who have secured a seat in UPTAC 2026 Round 1 must complete the online payment of the prescribed seat confirmation fee within the revised deadline.

Seat Confirmation Fee

Candidates are required to pay the following seat confirmation fee through the official UPTAC candidate login:

• INR 20,000
• INR 12,000 (for applicable categories as per counselling rules)

Failure to pay the seat confirmation fee within the stipulated period may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

Counselling Schedule Remains Unchanged

AKTU has stated that all subsequent counselling activities, including further rounds of admission, document verification, and reporting, will continue according to the previously published counselling schedule.
