The Uttar Pradesh Technical Admission Counselling (UPTAC) 2026 has commenced the Round 1 choice filling and locking process for admission to B.Tech programmes offered by participating engineering institutions across Uttar Pradesh. Candidates who have successfully completed the registration and document verification process can now log in to the official counselling portal to submit their college and branch preferences.

According to the revised counselling schedule released by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), the choice filling and locking window will remain open until 16 July 2026, while the Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled to be published on 18 July 2026.

Choice Filling Window Open Till July 16

Eligible candidates should carefully select and arrange their preferred engineering colleges and branches before locking their choices. Only the choices submitted within the prescribed deadline will be considered for the first round of seat allotment.

Round 1 Seat Allotment on July 18

The Round 1 seat allotment result will be prepared based on:

• JEE Main 2026 merit/rank
• Candidate's choice preferences
• Reservation policy
• Seat availability

Candidates allotted seats will be required to complete the subsequent admission formalities, including payment of the seat confirmation fee and submission of their willingness (Freeze/Float) within the notified schedule.Click here
