The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has extended the last date for OBC category declaration for candidates seeking reservation benefits under JELET 2026. According to the official notice issued on 19 June 2026, eligible candidates can now submit their OBC class declaration until 21 June 2026 (11:59 PM).

The Board stated that the deadline has been extended after considering requests received from various stakeholders. Candidates who intend to claim OBC reservation during the JELET 2026 admission process are advised to complete the declaration within the revised timeline. Missing the deadline may result in candidates being unable to avail reservation benefits during counselling and seat allotment.

WBJEEB has once again urged all eligible applicants to complete the declaration process before the closing date. Candidates who are not applying under the OBC reservation category do not need to take any action regarding this notification.

The Board further clarified that the revised deadline has been approved by the competent authority. Candidates should continue to monitor the official WBJEEB website for further announcements related to JELET 2026 counselling, merit lists, seat allotment and admission procedures.
