The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has extended the last date for OBC category declaration for candidates seeking reservation benefits under JENPAS (UG) 2026. According to the latest notification issued on 19 June 2026, eligible candidates can now complete the declaration process until 21 June 2026 (11:59 PM).

The decision has been taken after considering requests received from various stakeholders. Candidates who wish to avail reservation under the OBC category during the JENPAS UG 2026 admission process must submit their declaration within the revised deadline. Failure to complete the declaration by the stipulated time may result in candidates being unable to claim OBC reservation benefits during counselling and admission.

WBJEEB has advised all eligible applicants to complete the declaration process as early as possible through the prescribed online portal. Candidates for whom this notification is not applicable can safely ignore the notice.

The Board has further clarified that the extension has been issued with the approval of the competent authority. Candidates are advised to keep visiting the official WBJEEB website for further updates regarding JENPAS UG 2026 counselling, merit lists, seat allotment and admission schedules.Click here.
