Varun Arjun University (VAU) is a private multidisciplinary university located in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The university was established by the Varun Arjun Trust with the objective of delivering quality higher education and advancing research and innovation in multiple disciplines. It operates under the provisions of the UGC Act 1956 and was formally notified by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in November 2023.
The university began its academic activities in the 2023–24 academic session, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs in fields such as medical sciences, nursing, paramedical sciences, pharmacy, management, and forensic science. The institution focuses on a multidisciplinary and learner-centric education system, enabling students to develop skills and knowledge across diverse areas.
VAU emphasizes innovation, research, and social responsibility. Its academic framework encourages interdisciplinary learning, practical exposure, and collaboration between departments to create industry-ready professionals. The university aims to build a strong academic ecosystem through modern infrastructure, qualified faculty, and advanced learning resources.
The campus is spread over more than 50 acres and includes academic blocks, laboratories, hostels, hospital facilities, research centers, and recreational infrastructure. The campus environment is designed to be eco-friendly with landscaped gardens, rainwater harvesting systems, and integrated technology for teaching and learning.
The university houses several constituent colleges, including medical, nursing, pharmacy, and paramedical institutions. These institutions provide professional education in healthcare and allied sciences, supported by clinical training facilities and a teaching hospital.
Although it is a relatively new university, Varun Arjun University has achieved several milestones:
