The university has specifically cautioned candidates that the displayed vacancy position is provisional. Therefore, candidates have been advised to select their choices and preferences according to their own preferences rather than relying solely on the seat vacancy displayed at a particular point in time.
The provisional vacancy list covers both MBBS and BDS programmes. Seats are distributed across different quotas and categories depending on the institute.
Among the institutions listed, H.P. Government Dental College and Hospital, Shimla has vacancies across HP and other applicable categories, while private dental colleges including Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib and Bhojia Dental College and Hospital, Nalagarh have also reported vacancies.

The vacancy list also includes seats under the NRI quota at certain institutions. Candidates eligible for the respective quota should carefully check the category-wise vacancy details before exercising their choices.
AMRU HP has advised candidates to consider the provisional nature of the vacancy list while making their choices. Since vacancies can change because of seat upgradation or withdrawal, the number of seats displayed may not represent the final vacancy position at the time of allotment.
Candidates participating in the third round should therefore regularly check the official AMRU HP website and counselling portal for the latest vacancy position, choice-filling schedule, seat allotment and admission instructions.
