The Commissionerate of Medical Education, Chhattisgarh, has published the first-round seat allotment list for admission to MD/MS postgraduate medical courses under the state quota for the 2026 admission session.

According to the notice dated October 31, 2026, candidates who have been allotted seats must complete the scrutiny and admission process through physical mode. The process will take place in two separate windows in November.

Candidates are advised to read the Chhattisgarh Medical Postgraduate Admission Rules and Prospectus 2025 carefully before proceeding with document scrutiny and admission.

The Directorate has announced separate deadlines for physical scrutiny and admission. Candidates must follow the applicable dates and server timings.

Where Will Document Scrutiny and Admission Take Place?

The venue for scrutiny and admission depends on the type of allotted medical college.

Government Medical Colleges

Candidates allotted seats in government medical colleges must complete document scrutiny and admission formalities at their respective allotted institutions.

Private Medical Colleges

Candidates allotted seats in the following private medical colleges must report to the designated scrutiny centre:

• Shri Balaji Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur

• Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur

• Shri Shankaracharya Institute of Medical Sciences, Junwani, Bhilai

Designated Scrutiny Centre:

Teacher Training Institute Building, Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay Memorial Health Sciences and Ayush University of Chhattisgarh, Uparwara, Nava Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

The concerned private medical colleges must arrange authorised officers and staff at the designated scrutiny centre to complete the admission process.

Important Instructions for Allotted Candidates

Candidates must undergo mandatory verification of their eligibility documents after seat allotment. Those found ineligible during scrutiny or those who remain absent from the verification process will be excluded from subsequent counselling rounds.

As per the admission rules, once a candidate has been allotted a seat in a particular subject and institution at any stage of counselling or allotment, the same subject seat in the same institution will not be allotted to that candidate again.

Candidates should also note that the counselling process will be conducted online in four rounds, as mentioned in Clause 2.6 of the Chhattisgarh Medical Postgraduate Admission Prospectus 2025. If seats remain vacant before the admission deadline prescribed by the Supreme Court, additional counselling rounds may be conducted.

Registration facilities will be available in each round, and candidates allotted seats must undergo eligibility document verification.
