The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC), under the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has issued a revised schedule for Round 2 of NEET PG Counselling 2026. The notice was released on 7 November 2026.

The schedule has been modified following the addition of new postgraduate medical seats to the Round 2 seat matrix, as approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC). The revised timeline includes changes to seat matrix verification, Round 1 resignation, registration, payment, choice filling, choice locking, result declaration and reporting.

Candidates and participating institutes are advised to follow the updated schedule and complete each counselling activity within the specified deadlines.

NEET PG Counselling 2026 Round 2 Revised Schedule

The important dates and deadlines announced by MCC are as follows:

Round 1 Resignation Rules

Candidates holding Round 1 seats can resign without forfeiture of their security deposit until 6:00 PM on 9 November 2026. The resignation procedure depends on the candidate's current seat status.

• Freeze candidates: Must physically visit their allotted institute to complete the resignation process.

• Float candidates: Must submit their resignation online through the MCC portal.

Candidates should complete the applicable resignation procedure before the deadline.

Round 2 Registration and Choice Filling

Round 2 registration began on 7 November 2026 at 1:00 PM and will remain open until 3:00 PM on 14 November 2026. The edit/reset registration facility is available until 1:00 PM on 14 November.

Candidates must complete the payment process by 6:00 PM on 14 November 2026. Choice filling will be available from 10 November at 1:00 PM until 11:55 PM on 15 November. The choice-locking window will open on 14 November at 4:00 PM and close at 11:55 PM on 15 November.

Candidates should review their selected preferences carefully and complete choice locking within the announced period.

NEET PG Round 2 Result and Reporting Dates

MCC will process the Round 2 seat allotment on 16 November 2026 and declare the final result on 17 November 2026.

Candidates who receive seats must report to their allotted institutes between 18 November and 24 November 2026 to complete the admission process. MCC will verify the data of joined candidates on 25 November 2026.
