The Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Chhattisgarh, has released a notification dated November 3, 2026, regarding the Special Stray Vacancy Round counselling for NEET UG Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) admissions for the 2026 academic session.

The counselling will be conducted to fill vacant seats remaining in government and private physiotherapy colleges in Chhattisgarh after the previous Stray Vacancy Round admissions.

The Directorate has invited fresh online applications from eligible candidates and fresh institution preferences from previously registered eligible candidates. The registration and choice-filling process will be conducted through the official counselling portals.

Who Can Participate in the BPT Special Stray Vacancy Round?

According to Rule 7(xv) of the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental and Physiotherapy Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, the following candidates can participate:

• Previously registered candidates who were not allotted any seat in any earlier counselling round.

• Newly registered candidates who fulfil the prescribed eligibility conditions.

Candidates who have already received a seat allotment in an earlier round are not eligible under the conditions specified in the notification.

Fresh Choice Filling Mandatory for Previously Registered Candidates

Previously registered eligible candidates must submit fresh institution preferences for the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

The Directorate has clarified that all institution choices submitted during earlier counselling rounds have automatically become null and void. Therefore, candidates cannot rely on their previous preferences for this round.

Candidates must select their preferred physiotherapy colleges again and complete the choice-locking process before November 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

Failure to submit fresh institution choices will make candidates ineligible for seat allotment in the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

Application Correction Facility for BPT Counselling 2026

The Directorate will provide a free online application correction facility to newly registered candidates and previously registered eligible candidates.

Candidates can edit their application details until the last date of online registration, November 5, 2026, at 2:00 PM.

However, certain details cannot be modified, including:

• Entries directly obtained from examination result data provided by the Central Government.

• Candidate's registered mobile number.

• Candidate's registered email address.

Candidates should verify their application details carefully before submitting the final application.

Seat Allotment After the Special Stray Vacancy Round

The notification states that if seats remain vacant even after the Special Stray Vacancy Round, the counselling authority may conduct further seat allotment.

Such allotment may be based on the merit list issued for the Special Stray Vacancy Round and the institution preferences submitted by candidates.

Candidates should regularly check the official counselling websites for further notifications and updates regarding the admission process.

Candidates must carefully read the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental and Physiotherapy Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, before participating in counselling. The rules cover eligibility, reservation, counselling procedures and bond requirements.

The Directorate has also clarified that candidates are responsible for completing all counselling activities, including registration fee payment, institution selection and choice locking. Any cancellation of registration or allotment due to incomplete or incorrect information will be the candidate's responsibility.
