The Round 3 counselling notice is applicable to qualified and eligible NEET UG 2026 candidates who are eligible to participate in the Chhattisgarh state counselling process.
Fresh candidates will have to complete the online application process before proceeding with institution selection.
Candidates have been advised to carefully study the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental and Physical Therapy (Physiotherapy) Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, particularly the provisions related to reservation, counselling procedure and bond requirements, before submitting the application.
The rules are available through the official DME Chhattisgarh website and the counselling portal.
A key instruction in the Round 3 notice is that previously registered eligible candidates must again submit their institution choices for the third round.
According to the notice, institutions selected by candidates earlier have automatically become “Zero” or vacant in the choice list for the purpose of the third round.
Therefore, candidates who were already registered must complete fresh institution selection to participate in Round 3.
If a previously registered eligible candidate does not submit institution choices, no seat can be allotted to the candidate in Round 3.
The notice also contains an important instruction for candidates who were allotted a private medical college in Round 2 but completed only the scrutiny process and did not take admission.
The registration amount previously deposited by such candidates has been forfeited as per the applicable rules.
Such candidates will have to deposit the applicable amount again to participate in the Round 3 counselling process.
Candidates who were previously registered and had selected only government medical colleges, but now want to select private medical colleges in the upcoming counselling round, will have to pay the applicable difference between the prescribed registration amount for private medical colleges and the amount already deposited.
Only after making the required additional payment will such candidates be able to select private medical colleges.
Candidates should therefore check the applicable payment requirements before making their institution choices.
The Directorate of Medical Education has stated that the facility to edit the online application will remain available free of cost until the last date of online application.
However, certain information received directly from the examination result data provided by the Central Government and the candidate's registered mobile number and email address will remain unchanged.
Candidates should carefully verify the information entered in their application before final submission.
Candidates have been advised to select only those colleges in which they are genuinely interested in taking admission.
According to the notice, if a candidate does not take admission after seat allotment, or takes admission and subsequently gives up the allotted seat during the second round or subsequent counselling rounds, the registration amount deposited by the candidate will be forfeited, as per the applicable admission rules and previous DME Chhattisgarh instructions.
Candidates should therefore carefully consider their college preferences before submitting and locking their choices.
