The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has announced the schedule for the special round of online counselling for admission to the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) course for the academic year 2026–27. The notice was issued on October 16, 2026, to fill vacant seats remaining after the first, second and third online counselling rounds, along with seats available in newly established nursing institutions.

The special round will cover all seats in government nursing institutions and 50% of open seats in non-government nursing institutions, as specified in the notification. Eligible candidates who qualified in the ANM Entrance Competitive Examination 2026 can participate in the counselling process.

Eligibility for the Special Round of ANM Counselling

Candidates who have qualified in the ANM Entrance Competitive Examination 2026 are eligible to participate in the special round, subject to the applicable rules under the Jharkhand Nursing Institutions Management, Admission and Examination (Amendment) Rules, 2024.

Candidates who were admitted through the first, second or third counselling rounds may also participate if they wish to change their allotted nursing institution. However, they must understand the consequences before submitting their choices.

If an already admitted candidate receives a new seat allotment during the special round, admission to the previously allotted institution will automatically stand cancelled. The candidate must then take admission at the newly allotted institution.

How to Register for Jharkhand ANM Special Round Counselling 2026

Eligible candidates must register online and select their preferred nursing institutions according to their priority. The board has directed candidates to use the “Click here for All Online Counselling JCECEB-2026” link available on its website.

Candidates can follow these steps:

1. Visit the official website: http://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.

2. Open the online counselling section for JCECEB 2026.

3. Read the special round counselling instructions carefully.

4. Complete online registration using the required details.

5. Fill in the preferred nursing institutions in priority order.

6. Pay the applicable counselling fee through the available payment gateway.

7. Review and submit the choices before the deadline.

8. Check the provisional seat allotment letter on October 22, 2026.

9. Complete document verification and admission at the allotted institution between October 23 and 25, 2026.

The board has not imposed a limit on the number of choices candidates can fill. Applicants are advised to select as many suitable institutions as possible to improve their chances of seat allotment.

Jharkhand ANM Counselling Fee 2026

Candidates must pay the prescribed, non-refundable counselling fee through the payment gateway. Payment can be made using a credit card, debit card, net banking or UPI.

Candidates should ensure that the payment is completed successfully during the registration process. The counselling fee is non-refundable.

Documents Required for ANM Admission

Candidates should prepare the required documents for verification and admission at their allotted nursing institute. Depending on their eligibility and category, these may include:

• Local resident certificate

• Caste certificate, wherever applicable

• Income and asset certificate, wherever applicable

• Only candidates who have qualified in the ANM Entrance Competitive Examination 2026 and meet the applicable eligibility conditions may participate.

• Candidates must complete online registration and choice filling between October 18 and 20, 2026.

• Applicants should enter institution preferences carefully and in their preferred priority order.

• Previously admitted candidates who receive a new allotment must take admission at the newly allotted institution, as their earlier admission will automatically be cancelled.

• Candidates must complete document verification and admission within the notified period.

• If reserved seats remain vacant because eligible candidates are unavailable, their allocation will be governed by the applicable Jharkhand government resolution dated February 15, 2019.
