The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced the first-round online seat allotment schedule for PG NEET 2026 admission to postgraduate medical courses for non-in-service candidates.

As per the notification dated October 30, 2026, the option-entry portal has been enabled following the publication of the 2026 PG medical seat matrix and fee structure by the Medical Education Department.

Eligible candidates can enter their preferred course and college options from October 30 at 8:00 PM to November 2, 2026, until 4:00 PM.

Candidates are advised to carefully verify the fee structure, seat type, college location and other relevant details before entering their preferences.

Karnataka PG NEET 2026: Round 1 Counselling Schedule

KEA has announced the following schedule for the first-round online seat allotment process:

Verification Slip Download Deadline

Candidates belonging to Clause-A and Clause-Y categories must download their verification slips if they have not already done so.

KEA has stated that the verification slip download link, which was enabled on October 12, 2026, will be disabled after November 1, 2026.

Candidates should complete this process within the specified deadline.

Important Instructions for Option Entry

KEA has issued several instructions for candidates participating in the first-round allotment process:

• Candidates must check the fee structure, seat type, college location and other relevant details before entering options.

• The priority of options entered during the first round will remain unchanged for the second-round online seat allotment.

• Candidates will not be allowed to enter options again for the second round.

• Candidates may add, delete, modify, reorder or alter their options during the specified modification window.

• Admission and seat allotment will remain subject to eligibility rules and approvals from the National Medical Commission (NMC), Government, concerned university and other competent authorities.

KEA has also reserved the right to withdraw an admission at any stage if the candidate does not fulfil the applicable eligibility criteria or regulations.

Important Instructions Regarding Counselling

Candidates must regularly visit the KEA website for updates and further seat allotment notifications. The authority has advised candidates to check the website at least twice every day.

All participating institutes and colleges have been directed to treat Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted holidays as working days to ensure adherence to the counselling schedule.

The schedule for the subsequent seat allotment process will be notified separately on the KEA website.
