The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP), under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has extended the admission deadline for Allied and Healthcare courses for the academic session 2026-27.
According to the public notice dated November 2, 2026, the last date of admission has been extended from October 31 to November 15, 2026. The extension applies to Diploma, Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) courses offered by eligible Allied and Healthcare institutions.
The Commission has also specified conditions regarding institutional approval, annual intake capacity, academic batches and reporting of admissions.
The revised admission deadline is as follows:
| Admission Details | Date |
|---|---|
| Previous last date of admission | October 31, 2026 |
| Extended last date of admission | November 15, 2026 |
| Applicable courses | Diploma, UG and PG Allied and Healthcare courses |
| Academic session | 2026-27 |
No admission will be permitted after November 15, 2026. The Commission has also clarified that requests for any further extension will not be entertained.
NCAHP has issued several conditions that universities and institutions must follow during the extended admission period.
1. Eligibility and admission procedures
All institutions and universities must follow the prescribed eligibility criteria, admission procedures and applicable regulatory requirements for their respective courses, as specified in the Commission's letter dated April 8, 2026.
2. Annual intake capacity
The total number of students admitted during the 2026-27 academic session, including admissions made during the extended period, must not exceed the annual intake capacity prescribed for the respective courses under the Commission's letter dated May 15, 2026.
3. Classification of admission batches
The Commission has clarified the batch classification based on the date of admission:
Students admitted up to October 31, 2026, will be considered part of the regular/even batch.
Students admitted from November 1 to November 15, 2026, will be considered part of the casual/odd batch.
The classification is intended to avoid delays in the academic session.
Universities and institutes must ensure that institutions fulfil all prescribed academic requirements under the respective NCAHP-approved curricula.
These requirements include clinical postings, practical training, attendance and other applicable academic conditions. Examinations must be conducted according to the relevant academic and examination regulations.
The extension applies only to Allied and Healthcare institutes and colleges that received approval or permission on or before October 31, 2026.
NCAHP has clarified that no institute or college will be granted approval after October 31, 2026, for Allied and Healthcare courses under this notice.
All universities, institutions and colleges conducting admissions must submit an admission report to their respective State Allied and Healthcare Councils.
Where a duly constituted State Allied and Healthcare Council is not available, the report must be submitted directly to NCAHP.
The report must separately detail admissions made before October 31, 2026, and those completed during the extended period. Institutions must submit the report within seven days after the extended admission deadline of November 15, 2026.
Any deviation from the prescribed conditions will be dealt with under the applicable statutory provisions, rules and regulations.
The public notice was issued by Umesh Balonda, Secretary, National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions, with the approval of the competent authority.
Institutions and candidates should refer to the official NCAHP notification for complete details and admission-related instructions.
