The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Committee has issued the information and guidelines for counselling and admission to the MD (Hom.) course in Materia Medica for the 2026-27 academic session. The counselling will be conducted for State Quota seats at Dr. Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Unit-III, Bhubaneswar.
According to the guidelines, OJEE will conduct counselling for State Quota seats, while the Ayush Admissions Central Counselling Committee (AACCC) will conduct counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats as per the Ministry of Ayush guidelines. However, the seat details provided for the OJEE counselling show three State Quota seats and no AIQ seats.
Candidates interested in participating in the counselling process must fulfil the following eligibility requirements:
Candidates must have qualified AIAPGET 2026 with a valid rank.
The minimum qualifying requirement is the 50th percentile for General category candidates.
SC, ST and OBC candidates must secure at least the 40th percentile.
Candidates with benchmark disabilities must secure the 45th percentile for the General category and the 40th percentile for SC, ST and OBC categories, as applicable under the specified guidelines.
Candidates must possess a BHMS degree of at least five-and-a-half years, including one year of compulsory internship, recognised under the applicable regulations.
Candidates must hold a permanent or provisional registration certificate or licence issued by the competent Homoeopathy authority.
The compulsory rotating internship must have been completed satisfactorily by July 31, 2026.
For State Quota seats, the candidate's parents must be permanent natives of Odisha. Candidates must produce an online-issued Resident/Nativity Certificate in Form III, as prescribed by the Government of Odisha.
Eligible candidates must register online through the official OJEE website at www.ojee.nic.in by creating a username and password.
The registration fee is INR 1,000, which is non-refundable and must be paid online through the candidate login portal.
Only registered candidates will be considered for seat allotment and admission. Since the counselling involves one subject and one college, there is no provision for choice filling or choice locking.
Candidates who receive provisional allotment in the first round must pay an admission fee of INR 12,420, excluding hostel fees, through the online candidate login portal.
Candidates must subsequently report to Dr. Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Unit-III, Kharvel Nagar, Bhubaneswar, for document verification and provisional admission. Any differential fee, if applicable, must be paid during admission at the college.

SC/ST candidates must produce caste certificates issued by the competent authority in Odisha and must be permanent natives of the state.
Candidates claiming EWS or SEBC reservation must declare their category during registration and submit valid certificates.
If eligible candidates are unavailable in a reserved category, vacant seats may be merged with the Unreserved category according to government guidelines.
One seat is reserved for an in-service candidate who has completed at least five years of regular service and fulfils the eligibility criteria.
In-service candidates must submit a No Objection Certificate from the competent authority.
If no eligible General category in-service candidate is available, the seat will be filled by an eligible fresh General category candidate.
In the first round, registered candidates will receive provisional seat allotments based on their AIAPGET 2026 rank. Reservation will be considered according to the category declared during registration.
Candidates who receive provisional allotment must pay the admission fee of INR 12,420 and report to the allotted college for document verification.
Candidates who complete fee payment and successfully verify their documents will be considered for provisional admission under their allotted category. Those who fail to complete the payment or reporting requirements will be disqualified from the admission process.
Candidates who cannot produce valid documents supporting their claimed category will lose the provisional allotment under that category. The guidelines state that such candidates may be considered as General category candidates in the subsequent round, subject to vacancy availability.
The second round will begin with registration for candidates who did not register earlier.
The following candidates may participate in the second-round process:
Candidates who did not receive a seat in the first round.
Candidates who received a seat but did not report.
Candidates who need to submit fresh choices as required under the second-round process.
Candidates who fail to pay the online admission fee or complete the required online document verification after the first-round allotment will be treated as not reported.
Candidates receiving a fresh allotment in the second round must complete online fee payment, report to Dr. Abhin Chandra Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bhubaneswar, and undergo document verification.
If vacancies remain after the reporting and admission process, OJEE will conduct spot counselling for the available seats.
The detailed procedure and schedule for the spot counselling round will be notified separately.
Candidates who wish to withdraw or resign from an allotted seat must do so within the withdrawal period specified in the counselling schedule.
