Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot has announced the revised schedule for the 3rd Round of online Punjab State Counselling for UG Medical and Dental courses under NEET UG 2026.
Candidates participating in the third round must carefully follow the prescribed deadlines for registration, willingness submission, security deposit, choice filling and admission. Candidates who are required to register afresh must complete the application process through the University Payment Portal within the specified timeline.

Candidates required to register afresh for the third round must submit the online application and pay the prescribed registration fee through the University Payment Gateway.
Candidates who do not submit the required willingness and security deposit within the prescribed timeline will not be considered for the third round.
Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 2 but did not join the allotted seat are required to register afresh for the third round and deposit the applicable security amount again.
The security deposit depends on the type of colleges selected by the candidate.

Candidates choosing both Government and Private Colleges must deposit INR 2,00,000 as the security deposit.

Such candidates must complete fresh registration, submit willingness, pay the applicable security amount and submit their choices/preferences.
Candidates who are already registered and were not allotted any seat in Round 1 or Round 2 do not need to register again.
Similarly, candidates who are already registered and are holding a seat allotted in Round 1 or Round 2 remain eligible to participate in the third round, subject to the applicable rules.
Candidates who deposited the prescribed security amount in Round 2 but were not allotted a seat in that round do not need to deposit the security amount again. However, they must submit their willingness through the University Payment Gateway within the prescribed deadline.
Candidates submitting willingness for the third round may be considered for seat allotment subject to the applicable eligibility conditions. The University has identified the following groups:

Eligible candidates will be required to fill and submit their choices/preferences for course, college, quota and category through the online counselling portal from 6 October to 7 October 2026.
Seat allotment processing will be conducted from 8 October to 9 October 2026, followed by the display of the provisional allotment/result on 10 October 2026.
Candidates will have an opportunity to submit objections to the provisional seat allotment up to 11 October 2026 at 3:00 PM. Objections must be submitted in person at the Admission Branch of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, along with relevant supporting documents.
Objections sent through email, post or any other mode will not be entertained.
According to the revised schedule, the final allotment/result is to be declared on 11 October 2026 after excluding or debarring candidates who have already joined seats through All India counselling and are therefore not eligible for further state counselling, as per the applicable rules.
The University has specifically referred to the MCC third-round counselling data for this process.
Provisionally selected candidates will be required to deposit the balance amount of fee, representing six months' fee after adjustment of the security deposit already paid, through the University Payment Gateway.
After payment of the prescribed balance fee, candidates must report to their respective allotted colleges for completion of admission and joining formalities.
The reporting period is from 12 October to 14 October 2026.
Candidates should carefully consider their choices before submitting willingness and preferences.
Once a candidate joins the seat allotted in the third round, the candidate will not be permitted to surrender or resign from that seat or participate in further counselling rounds.
The last date for submission of the Admission Application Form under NRI Quota is 1 October 2026 up to 2:00 PM.
The University has clarified that the Eligibility Certificate application form and NRI Admission Application Form are separate forms and are available on the University website.
Candidates applying under Sikh Minority or Christian Minority Quota must report to the respective minority institution for verification of their minority status.
Candidates whose minority status was already verified during Round 1 or Round 2 do not need to report again.
Candidates who registered under the Minority Quota but could not complete verification in the earlier rounds may report for verification on 3 October 2026 up to 3:00 PM.
The University has also stated that if an adequate number of candidates are not available for BDS seats, candidates who are not eligible for the 85% State Quota seats may also be considered, subject to the applicable rules.
