The Tripura Medical Counselling Committee (TRMCC), under the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Tripura, has issued an educational notification regarding the Special Stray Vacancy Round of Undergraduate Medical Counselling 2026.

The notification, dated 3 November 2026, confirms that the special round will be conducted online to fill the vacant seats remaining after completion of the regular Stray Vacancy Round.

Eligible candidates can participate through the official counselling portal at https://trmcc.admissions.nic.in. The process will include fresh registration, fee payment, online verification, choice filling, seat allotment and admission reporting.

Fresh Registration and Choice Filling

Eligible candidates intending to participate in the Special Stray Vacancy Round must complete fresh registration and pay the applicable registration fee and security deposit through the online portal.

Candidates must also complete online verification by the Verification Committee and submit their choices through their respective counselling accounts within the prescribed schedule.

The choice-filling window will remain open from 5 November 2026 at 3:00 PM to 9 November 2026 at 5:00 PM. Candidates are advised to verify their preferences carefully before final submission.

Eligibility Criteria for Special Stray Vacancy Round

TRMCC has clarified which candidates can participate in the special round:

• Candidates who have already taken admission through previous counselling rounds are not eligible.

• Candidates allotted seats in Round 3 or the regular Stray Vacancy Round are not eligible.

• Candidates registered in earlier rounds but not allotted any seat can participate in the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

• Fresh registration and online choice filling are permitted for eligible candidates.

The committee has also clarified that there will be no seat upgradation for candidates who have already been admitted through earlier counselling rounds.

Registration Fee and Security Deposit

The registration fee and security deposit for the Special Stray Vacancy Round will remain as prescribed in the applicable Information Bulletin and earlier notifications issued by TRMCC.

Candidates should refer to the official counselling instructions for the applicable payment details before completing registration.

Seat Allotment and Nomination Letter Collection

Seat allotment will be based on NEET UG 2026 merit, eligibility, reservation policy, choices submitted by candidates and seat availability.

Candidates allotted seats in the Special Stray Vacancy Round must collect their nomination letters from the Office of the Director of Medical Education, Government of Tripura, between 11 and 16 November 2026.

After collecting the nomination letter, candidates must report to their allotted institutions for physical verification of original documents and completion of admission formalities.

Last Date of Joining and Security Deposit Forfeiture

The last date for joining the allotted institution is 16 November 2026.

Candidates who fail to join within the prescribed period will lose their security deposit, as specified in the TRMCC notification. Candidates should complete the nomination letter collection, document verification and admission formalities within the given timeline.
