The Veterinary Council of India (VCI) has announced the schedule for online counselling for admission to the Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.) degree course under the 15% VCI quota for the academic session 2026-27.

The counselling process includes Round 1, Round 2 and a Stray Round for filling available veterinary seats. All timings mentioned in the schedule will be according to the computer server timings. The official VCI website also lists the 2026-27 online counselling information.

VCI B.V.Sc & A.H. Counselling 2026-27 Schedule

Round 1

The first round registration and choice filling were scheduled from August 18 to August 23, 2026.

Round 2 Counselling Schedule

Candidates participating in the second round can complete registration and choice filling within the prescribed two-day window.

Candidates should complete their choices and registration within the prescribed server-time deadline.

Stray Round Counselling 2026

VCI will conduct the Stray Round for filling vacant seats, if any, remaining after completion of Round 2.

The details of vacant seats available for the Stray Round will be notified on the VCI Counselling Portal.

Stray Round Fee

Candidates interested in participating in the Stray Round are required to pay the prescribed Stray Round fee:

VCI has clarified that there will be no fresh registration fee for the Stray Round. Candidates must, however, pay the applicable Stray Round participation fee.

Who Can Participate in the Stray Round?

Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round 1 or Round 2, whether they reported to the allotted college or not, will not be eligible to participate in the Stray Round admission process.

Therefore, candidates should carefully consider their choices and participation in the earlier counselling rounds.

Choice Locking Timing

VCI has specified that choice locking will be available from 4:00 PM to 11:55 PM on the last day of registration for the respective counselling round.

Candidates should ensure that their choices are properly locked within the specified window.Registration for each counselling round will close at 11:55 PM according to server timings.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates participating in VCI counselling should:

1. Complete registration within the prescribed dates.
2. Fill their preferred veterinary colleges carefully.
3. Lock their choices within the specified time.
4. Check the seat allotment result on the scheduled date.
5. Report to the allotted veterinary college within the prescribed deadline.
6. Carefully check the eligibility rules for the Stray Round before paying the participation fee.
7. Regularly check the VCI Counselling Portal for vacant seat information and further notices.
