The notice clarifies that the admitting institute does not need to retain candidates' caste certificates or identity cards.
Candidates must pay the applicable admission fees to the allotted college through the prescribed payment method if they do not wish to participate in further upgradation rounds.
The university has also specified the discontinuation bond requirements for candidates taking admission.
| College Type / Course | Bond Requirement |
|---|---|
| Government colleges in West Bengal – Degree seats | INR 5 lakh discontinuation bond |
| Government colleges in West Bengal – Diploma seats | INR 2 lakh discontinuation bond |
| Private colleges, trust colleges and central institutes | Bond or bank guarantee as required by the concerned college |
For government college admissions, the discontinuation bond must be notarised on non-judicial stamp paper with demy paper, as required, of a value not less than INR 100.
Candidates taking admission in private colleges, trust colleges or central institutes must submit the bond or bank guarantee according to the requirements of the respective institution. The notice states that preference should be given to the candidate's choice regarding the provision of a bond or bank guarantee.
Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 must submit their willingness for participation in Round 2 and/or Round 3 online during admission at the allotted college.
Candidates should also verify their willingness status in the server-generated admission letter provided by the college authorities.
Those who opt for upgradation may be allowed to defer submission of the applicable bond or bank guarantee for the current round. However, they must pay the required course fee during admission to the college, latest by the admission process of Round 3 or during its final hour, as specified in the notice.
The option to participate in Round 2 and/or Round 3 is available to all candidates allotted seats in Round 1.
The notice explains the procedure for candidates who receive a new college allotment in a subsequent round after taking admission in an earlier round.
If a candidate admitted in Round 1 receives a new college allotment in a later round, they can collect the fees paid to the previous college along with all original documents. The previous college must also issue a server-generated relieving letter.
Only after receiving the original documents and relieving letter can the candidate proceed to the newly allotted college for admission within the prescribed schedule.
The Directorate has also clarified the counselling options available to candidates based on their Round 1 admission status.
Round 1 non-reported candidates: Candidates who do not report for admission in Round 1 will be treated as non-reported candidates. They can participate in fresh choice filling in Round 2.
Round 1 non-allotted candidates: Candidates who do not receive a seat in Round 1 can also participate in fresh choice filling in Round 2.
Candidates who surrender their seats: Candidates who surrender their seats after admission will be eliminated from the remaining counselling process.
Candidates who do not submit willingness: Candidates who do not provide willingness for subsequent rounds cannot fill choices in those rounds and will retain their Round 1 admitted seats.
Candidates who submit willingness but receive no new allotment: Candidates who provide willingness and fill fresh choices but do not receive a new allotment will retain their previously admitted Round 1 seats.
Candidates should carefully check their allotment letters, admission schedules and willingness status before completing the admission process.
Those seeking upgradation must follow the prescribed procedure for subsequent rounds and ensure that the required fees, documents and other admission formalities are completed within the notified deadlines.
The notice also addresses the cancellation and relieving procedure following successful upgradation. However, the supplied copy ends midway through this section. Candidates should refer to the complete official notice for the remaining instructions.
