The Department of Health and Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, has published a tentative revised schedule for the Special Stray Round of MBBS counselling and Round 5 of BDS counselling for NEET UG 2026.

The schedule was issued through Memo No. HFW-23099/320/2026/M/35(ME)/5pl-/50/2026, dated 4 November 2026. It covers State Quota and Private Management Quota seats in West Bengal.

The revised schedule includes online registration, fee payment, candidate verification, publication of the verified candidate list and seat matrix, choice filling, allotment results and admission reporting.

West Bengal NEET UG 2026 Revised Counselling Schedule

All timings are as per server time, as mentioned in the official schedule.

Registration and Fee Payment

Eligible candidates qualified through NEET UG 2026 can complete online registration from 3 November 2026 at 11:00 AM. The registration window will close on 5 November 2026 at 8:00 PM.

The online fee payment facility will remain available until midnight on 5 November 2026. Candidates must complete both registration and payment within the prescribed deadlines to proceed with the counselling process.

Candidate Verification and Seat Matrix Publication

After successful registration and fee payment, candidates must undergo document verification at their already designated college and time slot assigned by the software.

The verification process is scheduled for 4, 5 and 6 November 2026, between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

This verification requirement is not applicable to NRI candidates. They should refer to Point 3 of the official notice for further instructions.

The list of successfully verified candidates and the seat matrix for the MBBS Special Stray Round and BDS Round 5 will be published on 6 November 2026 after 5:00 PM.

Choice Filling and Seat Allotment

Candidates included in the successfully verified list can exercise their online choices and lock their preferences from 6 November 2026 at 6:00 PM to 7 November 2026 at 2:00 PM.

The West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee has scheduled the allotment result for 12 November 2026 after 2:00 PM. Candidates should check the published result to know their allotment status.

Reporting and Admission Dates

Candidates allotted seats in the Special Stray Round for MBBS or Round 5 for BDS must report for admission on the following dates:

• 13 November 2026

• 14 November 2026

• 16 November 2026

The reporting window will remain open from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on each date.

Candidates must carry their original documents, pay the applicable college fee and complete the required bond formalities. Admission will take place after physical document verification and successful re-verification.

For private medical colleges, the admission process will be conducted at designated Government Medical Colleges in Kolkata. For all private dental colleges, the admission process will be conducted at Dr. R. Ahmed Dental College, as specified in the notice.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates participating in the revised counselling schedule should complete registration, fee payment, verification and choice locking within the prescribed timelines.

They should also keep their original documents and required admission fee ready for reporting. Candidates must follow the separate instructions applicable to NRI candidates and the previously published reporting arrangements for private colleges.
