The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Chhattisgarh, issued a notice dated October 16, 2026, regarding document verification for candidates claiming eligibility under the Freedom Fighter (FF) category in state-level NEET UG 2026 counselling.

According to the notice, one seat remains vacant in the FF category at Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Medical College, Raipur, following the third phase of counselling, also known as the Mop-up Round.

Candidates claiming eligibility under this category have been instructed to submit the required documents for verification by the counselling committee.

Documents Required for Verification

Eligible candidates must email clear, readable and colour-scanned copies of all documents supporting their claim under the Freedom Fighter category. The documents must be combined into a single PDF file.

Candidates must use the following subject line when emailing their documents:

NEET UG 2026 – FF Category Document Verification – Candidate Name – NEET Roll Number

Candidates should ensure that their name and NEET roll number are correctly mentioned in the email subject and that all supporting documents are included in the PDF file.

How Will Candidates Be Selected for the Vacant Seat?

The counselling committee will examine and verify the submitted documents. Only candidates found eligible after verification will be considered for allotment of the vacant seat.

The notice further states that if no eligible candidate is available, the seat will be converted to the unreserved category in accordance with the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental and Physical Medicine Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, and allotted during the Stray Vacancy Round.

Documents received after the specified deadline will not be considered.
