Dr NTR University of Health Sciences (Dr NTRUHS), Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, has announced fresh online applications for Stray Round 2 counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions under Management Quota for the 2026–27 academic session.

The notification, dated October 24, 2026, invites eligible candidates to apply for available MBBS Category-C (NRI-Lapsed) seats and BDS Category-B and Category-C (NRI-Lapsed) seats. Candidates must submit a new online application within the prescribed registration window.

The application is common for MBBS and BDS courses. Candidates should check the eligibility conditions and the earlier university notification dated October 19, 2026, before applying.

Dr NTRUHS Stray Round 2 Counselling Schedule

• Category-B to NRI-Lapsed status fee: INR 6,000

The university has clarified that the application and processing fees are non-refundable and will not be adjusted to a future date. Candidates should verify their eligibility and review the prospectus and counselling regulations before making payment.

MBBS Category-C (NRI-Lapsed) Seats Available

According to Annexure I of the notification, 112 MBBS Category-C seats are listed across 16 medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

The above seat matrix relates to the MBBS vacancies listed in Annexure I. The notification also invites applications for available BDS Management Quota vacancies under Category-B and Category-C (NRI-Lapsed).

Documents Required for Online Registration

Candidates must upload scanned copies of the required original certificates and documents in the specified formats and file sizes.

The university has stated that applications with missing mandatory certificates, photographs, signatures or incomplete information will be automatically rejected. Candidates should ensure that all uploads are clear and meet the specified file-size limits.

Eligibility Restrictions for Stray Round 2

The notification lists several categories of candidates who are not eligible to participate in Dr NTRUHS stray-round counselling.

These include:

• Candidates who joined MBBS under Phase 1 or Phase 2 counselling under either Competent Authority Quota or Management Quota.

• Candidates allotted MBBS seats under Phase 3 Mop-Up or earlier Stray Round counselling under either quota.

• Candidates whose names appear on the Medical Counselling Committee's shared lists up to the Stray Round.

• Candidates who have joined MBBS courses in other states.

• Candidates who joined BDS under Phase 1 or Phase 2 counselling under either quota.

• Candidates allotted BDS seats under Phase 3 Mop-Up counselling under either quota.

Candidates should carefully read the complete eligibility rules in the university's notification dated October 19, 2026. An NEET UG rank or appearance on a merit list does not automatically establish eligibility for admission.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Candidates must complete the application process using a desktop or laptop with an internet connection. Applications submitted for Competent Authority Quota seats will not be considered for Management Quota admissions.

Candidates allotted a seat in Stray Round 2 must report to the allotted college within the deadline mentioned in the allotment order. They must carry all original certificates, the provisional allotment order and the final application copy, and pay the prescribed tuition and college fees.

The university has also stated that:

• Candidates cannot resign from a seat allotted in this round.

• Candidates cannot withdraw from the course until the admission schedule closes.

• Exercising web options does not guarantee admission.

• Incorrect information or forged documents may result in cancellation of admission and further action under the rules.

• Seat blocking may invite legal action.

• The university fee of INR 70,100 must be paid through the online payment gateway to download the allotment order.

• MBBS classes have already commenced from September 15, 2026.

Candidates applying under the NRI-Lapsed category must also upload the prescribed notarised affidavit declaring parental income, sources of funds and the family's financial capacity to pay the course fees.
