The Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB) has announced a Special Round of online counselling for admission to vacant All India seats in MBBS and BDS courses for the 2026 academic session.

According to the notification dated October 23, 2026, the counselling process is being conducted following directions from the Health, Medical Education and Family Welfare Department, Government of Jharkhand.

Eligible candidates can submit fresh online applications through the official JCECEB website. The merit list prepared for this round will be forwarded to the concerned colleges and university for admission.

JCECEB Special Round Counselling 2026: Important Dates

Candidates should check the schedule carefully and complete each step within the specified deadline.

Candidates must submit their applications through the online application link available on the Board's official website. Applications submitted after the prescribed deadline may not be considered.

Colleges Offering Vacant MBBS and BDS Seats

The Special Round covers vacant All India seats in MBBS and BDS courses at the following institutions.

MBBS colleges:

• Laxmi Chandravansi Medical College and Hospital, Bishrampur, Palamu

• Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital, Adityapur, Seraikela-Kharsawan

• Sido Kanhu Medical College and Hospital, Dumka

• Birsa Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Khunti

BDS college:

• Vananchal Dental College and Hospital, under Babu Dinesh Singh University, Garhwa

The Board will prepare the merit list for eligible applicants and forward it to the respective colleges or university for the admission process.

Fresh Application Mandatory for Special Round Counselling

JCECEB has clarified that candidates interested in participating in the Special Round must submit a fresh online application, even if they applied or appeared in earlier counselling rounds.

The merit lists published for the first, second and third rounds, as well as the Stray Vacancy Round, will be treated as null and void for this Special Round. Therefore, candidates who wish to be considered for vacant seats must complete the new application process within the announced schedule.

How to Apply for JCECEB Special Round Counselling 2026

Eligible candidates can follow these steps to submit their applications:

1. Visit the official JCECEB website: https://jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in.

2. Locate the online application link titled “Click here for All Online Application Submission JCECEB 2026.”

3. Open the relevant application form for the Special Round.

4. Enter the required details and complete the application process as instructed on the portal.

5. Submit the application before October 25, 2026, at 3:00 PM.

6. Check the website on October 25 for the vacant seat matrix and Special Round merit list.

7. Download the provisional seat allotment letter from the Board's website on October 26, 2026, if allotted a seat.
