Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot, has issued an important public notice regarding the third round of Punjab State NEET UG counselling 2026–27 for MBBS and BDS admissions. According to the notice dated October 10, 2026, three candidates who have already joined seats allotted through Round 3 of All India Quota counselling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will be removed from the seat-processing exercise for the corresponding round of Punjab State counselling.
The notice was issued by the BFUHS Admission Branch under reference number 03-BFUHS/Admissions/2026/314. The university stated that MCC, functioning under the Directorate General of Health Services, Government of India, has published the Round 3 UG counselling result for 2026 and initiated the reporting and joining process for allotted seats.
BFUHS referred to MCC's notice dated October 10, 2026, bearing reference number U11011/07/2026-MEC, and an earlier notice dated October 28, 2025, bearing reference number U-11011/07/2025-MEC. According to BFUHS, the state counselling authorities were directed to remove candidates who had joined seats allotted through Round 3 of All India Quota counselling before processing the corresponding round of state counselling, in compliance with the directions of the Supreme Court of India.
Based on the joining-status data made available by MCC, BFUHS has identified three candidates who have already joined their allotted All India Quota seats. Their candidature will not be considered for seat allotment during the third round of Punjab State online counselling.
The university has advised all concerned candidates to take note of the notice. The action is intended to ensure compliance with the applicable counselling directions and prevent candidates who have already joined All India Quota seats from receiving another allotment through the corresponding Punjab State counselling round.
BFUHS has published the following details of the three candidates identified on the basis of the MCC data.
