Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda has issued a Revised Notice dated August 19, 2026, regarding the fee structure for MBBS admissions for the academic session 2026-27.
The notice refers to the revised fee notification issued by the Government of Punjab, Department of Medical Education and Research, vide Notification No. MER-HTI1305C/9/2024-511B31/I/1443468/2026 dated July 10, 2026. The notification prescribed the fee structure for MBBS and BDS courses in private health sciences educational institutions and universities in Punjab.
However, Adesh University and Another challenged the revised fee notification before the Punjab and Haryana High Court through CWP No. 23968 of 2026, titled Adesh University and Another vs. State of Punjab and Others.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court, through its interim order dated August 4, 2026, directed that the directions issued by a Coordinate Bench of the Court in its earlier order dated September 18, 2020, in CWP No. 14902 of 2020, would also apply to the petitioners for the 2026-27 academic year.
Under the earlier order, Adesh University of Health Sciences, Bathinda and another were permitted to collect the Management Quota fee even from students admitted against the 50% Government Quota seats at Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda.
The difference in fees, if any, will remain subject to the final outcome of CWP No. 14902 of 2020 and connected matters.
Accordingly, for the MBBS course for the 2026-27 session, the fee payable at Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda has been revised as follows:

As per the revised Punjab government notification, the originally prescribed fee for MBBS courses in private health sciences educational institutions/universities was:

However, the Adesh Institute-specific fee applicable for 2026-27 is currently aligned with the Management Quota fee for both Government and Management Quota seats because of the applicable court directions.
Candidates seeking admission to Adesh Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Bathinda should take note of the revised fee arrangement before completing their admission process.
The Government Quota fee is being collected at the Management Quota level in accordance with the interim court directions.
