The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam, has set August 11, 2026, as the last date to apply for admission to first-year MBBS and BDS courses in government medical and dental colleges under various special quota categories.
The special quota admission process is applicable to eligible candidates seeking admission under categories including Freedom Fighters, Martyr of Assam Movement, Extremist Violence, Ex-Serviceman and Serving Defence Personnel, Sports quota and Orphan quota.
Candidates who are eligible under these categories and have not yet completed their applications must submit the required details and documents by the prescribed deadline. The admission process is being conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam for the 2026 session.
