The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has issued an educational notice regarding the document verification of special quota candidates seeking admission to first-year MBBS and BDS courses in government medical and dental colleges of Assam for the 2026 session.

Candidates who applied under the Freedom Fighters, Martyr of Assam Movement, Extremist Violence, Ex-Serviceman & Serving Defence Personnel, Sports and Orphan quotas through the Directorate's earlier notice dated August 5, 2026, are required to appear for offline document verification.

The verification will be conducted on August 12, 2026, at the Office of the DME, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22.

Candidates Must Appear Physically

All candidates who have applied under the specified special quotas must physically appear before the respective verification boards on August 12 as per the prescribed schedule.

Candidates must carry their relevant documents and annexures in original for verification. They are also required to bring one set of photocopies of all relevant documents and annexures for submission.

Special Quota Claim May Be Forfeited

DME Assam has clearly stated that candidates who fail to appear for document verification as per the scheduled date and time will have their claim for the particular special quota forfeited.

Therefore, candidates should ensure that they reach the designated venue with all required original documents and photocopies within the prescribed reporting time.
