The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has released the provisional NEET MDS 2026 state merit list for admission to the MDS course at Regional Dental College, Guwahati, for the 2026 session. The merit list was uploaded on the official DME Assam website on 19 August 2026.
According to the educational notice, the merit list has been prepared for NEET MDS 2026 state quota seats. Candidates who have applied for admission under the Assam state quota can check their provisional merit position through the official website of the Directorate of Medical Education, Assam.
The department has clarified that the NEET MDS 2026 counselling date has not been announced yet. The counselling schedule will be intimated in due course of time. Candidates are advised to regularly monitor the official DME Assam website for counselling-related notifications, schedules and further admission instructions.
The provisional merit list contains 152 candidates under the Assam state quota. The list includes candidates' state rank, NEET MDS 2026 rank, category and score.
As per the released list, Sahin Akhtar secured State Rank 1 with a score of 707 out of 960 and a NEET MDS 2026 rank of 158. Shruti Saraf secured State Rank 2 with 688 marks, followed by Triyaa Dutta Roy at State Rank 3 with 679 marks.
The merit list also includes candidates belonging to General, OBC, SC, ST and EWS categories. At State Rank 152, Sanskriti Hazarika recorded a score of 275 marks and a NEET MDS 2026 rank of 17,823.
Candidates included in the provisional merit list should regularly check the official DME Assam website for the announcement of the NEET MDS 2026 counselling schedule. The department has specifically advised candidates to visit the website regularly for further updates.
The provisional merit list should not be treated as a final admission or seat allotment result. Further admission procedures will depend on the counselling process and subsequent instructions issued by the competent authority.
