Assam NEET UG 2026 Document Verification: DME Announces Offline Counselling on August 20

The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Assam has issued an educational notice regarding document verification for admission to 1st-year MBBS and BDS courses in the government medical and dental colleges of Assam for the 2026 session.

According to the notice dated August 12, 2026, candidates whose Roll Number and Name appear in the Provisional Assam State Merit List 2026 and who resided and completed schooling outside Assam during any period from Class I to Class XII are required to attend an offline counselling session for document verification.

The document verification will be conducted on August 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM onwards at the office of the Director of Medical Education, Assam, Sixmile, Khanapara, Guwahati-22.

  2. Permanent Residency Certificate (PRC)
  3. Schooling Proof from Class I to Class XII

Candidates should ensure that they carry the original documents for verification.

Important Instructions for Candidates

The document verification is specifically applicable to candidates whose names and roll numbers are included in the Provisional Assam State Merit List, Session 2026, and who have resided and had schooling outside Assam during any period between Class I and Class XII.

Candidates are advised to appear physically at the designated venue on the prescribed date and time with the required original documents.
