Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS), Faridkot has released the Prospectus for PG-MDS-2026 admissions, along with the important dates for the admission and first round of online counselling process. Candidates seeking admission to Postgraduate Dental (MDS) courses in Punjab are required to complete the application process through the official university website, www.bfuhs.ac.in, within the prescribed schedule.
As per the admission schedule, the PG-MDS 2026 prospectus and tentative distribution of seats will be made available on the university website from 20 August 2026. The online admission application process will also begin as per the schedule. Candidates must carefully complete the application form and pay the prescribed application fee through the university's payment gateway.
The application fee is Rs. 5,900, including 18% GST, while SC candidates are required to pay Rs. 2,950. The deadline for depositing the application fee and completing the specified application-related formalities is 24 August 2026 up to 12:00 Noon.
Candidates belonging to the PCMS category, as well as those applying under NRI, Christian Minority and Sikh Minority quotas, have additional document submission and verification requirements. Such candidates must complete the relevant formalities within the prescribed deadline.
BFUHS will subsequently publish the Provisional Merit List on 24 August 2026. Candidates will be allowed to submit objections against the provisional merit list up to 3:00 PM on 25 August 2026, through personal appearance at the Admission Branch of BFUHS, Faridkot, along with relevant documents.
The first round of online PG MDS counselling will then begin with online choice filling from 26 August to 28 August 2026. The provisional allotment/result is scheduled to be displayed on 1 September 2026. Candidates will subsequently be provided an opportunity to raise objections against the provisional allotment.
Candidates who are provisionally selected will have to deposit the prescribed fee through the BFUHS university payment gateway and report to their allotted college within the stipulated period for document and eligibility verification. Failure to deposit the fee through the online portal will result in cancellation of the provisional allotment.

Note: The prospectus states that the final distribution of seats will be displayed at the time of choice filling through the online portal.
Candidates are required to deposit the application fee through the BFUHS University Payment Gateway.
Candidates applying for PG-MDS 2026 admission should carefully follow the university's instructions and complete all formalities within the specified deadlines.
Candidates belonging to the PCMS category are required to submit the scanned copy of the online admission application form along with self-attested certificates, NOC, eligibility certificate issued by the competent authority and proof of fee remittance to the Admission Branch of BFUHS, Faridkot.
For NRI quota seats, candidates are required to submit the hard copy of the admission application form at the university office by 24 August 2026 up to 12:00 Noon. Candidates seeking admission under the NRI quota must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the university before applying.
For the Christian Minority Quota, document and eligibility verification will be conducted by Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, while candidates applying under the Sikh Minority Quota will undergo verification at SGRD Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Amritsar.
Candidates should also note that the university has stated that any amendments or notices issued by the Government of Punjab, Government of India or Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) regarding PG admissions for the 2026 session will be applicable.
Provisionally selected candidates must deposit the required fee through the university payment gateway and subsequently report to their allotted college within the prescribed period for document and eligibility verification. If the candidate fails to deposit the fee through the online portal, the provisional allotment will be treated as cancelled.
