The Directorate has invited fresh online applications from eligible candidates and online institution choices from previously registered eligible candidates. The schedule has been issued in accordance with the timetable released by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on November 2, 2026.

Who Can Participate in the Special Stray Vacancy Round?

According to Rule 7(xv) of the Chhattisgarh Medical, Dental and Physiotherapy Undergraduate Admission Rules, 2025, the following candidates can participate:

  • Previously registered candidates who did not receive a seat allotment in any earlier counselling round.

  • Eligible candidates completing fresh registration for the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

Candidates who were allotted seats in any previous round are not included in the eligible categories specified in this notice.

Previously Registered Candidates Must Fill Choices Again

The Directorate has clarified that previously registered eligible candidates must submit their institution choices again during the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

Choices submitted in earlier counselling rounds have automatically become invalid. Therefore, candidates must complete fresh choice filling to participate in this round.

Candidates who do not submit their choices within the prescribed schedule will not be considered for seat allotment in the Special Stray Vacancy Round.

Additional Registration Fee for Private Medical College Choices

Candidates who previously registered only for Government Medical Colleges but now wish to select private medical colleges must pay the additional registration amount.

The additional payment will be calculated as the difference between the registration amount prescribed for private medical colleges and the amount already deposited by the candidate.

Candidates will be allowed to select private medical colleges only after completing this additional payment.

Application Editing Facility and Important Conditions

The Directorate will provide a free application editing facility for fresh applicants and previously registered eligible candidates until the registration deadline.

However, certain details cannot be changed. These include:

  • Entries directly obtained from the examination result data provided by the Central Government.

  • Candidate's registered mobile number.

  • Candidate's email address.

Candidates should carefully check their application details before submitting the form.

Registration Fee Forfeiture and Seat Allotment Rules

The Directorate has issued an important warning regarding the consequences of accepting a seat in this round.

If a candidate receives a seat allotment but does not take admission, the deposited registration amount will be forfeited. The same rule will apply if a candidate takes admission and subsequently vacates the allotted seat.

Candidates are therefore advised to select only those colleges in which they are genuinely interested in taking admission.

Further Seat Allotment After the Special Stray Round

The notice also states that if seats remain vacant after the Special Stray Vacancy Round, further seat allotment may be conducted.

Such allotment may be based on the merit list issued for the Special Stray Vacancy Round and the institution choices submitted by candidates.

Candidates should regularly check the official websites for any further counselling announcements.

Important Warning for NEET UG 2026 Candidates

The Directorate has clarified that the entire counselling process, including registration fee payment, institution and course selection, and choice locking, must be completed by the candidates themselves.

Candidates will be responsible for any cancellation of registration or allotment resulting from incomplete or incorrect information.

The Directorate has also warned candidates not to fall for fraudulent individuals or organisations claiming to arrange admissions. Seat allotment in government and private medical and dental colleges is carried out by the Counselling Committee constituted by the Office of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Chhattisgarh.
