The Karnataka AYUSH Directorate has requested the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to withhold the seat matrix issued for BVVS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Bagalkot (College Code: 1743). The request was communicated through an official letter dated 02 November 2026.
The letter, bearing reference number AYUSH/44/DEV-2/2026, states that the seat matrix was mistakenly issued to BVVS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital instead of A.V. Samiti's Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya, Vijayapura (College Code: 1735).
The Directorate has asked KEA to keep the seat matrix for BVVS Ayurveda Medical College on hold until the state government issues a revised notification.
According to the Directorate's communication, the President of the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), New Delhi, granted conditional permission for additional seats to A.V. Samiti's Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya, Bagalkote Road, Vidyanagar, Vijayapura.
The permission was communicated through a letter dated 15 October 2026. However, while issuing the seat matrix under the applicable rules, the additional seats were mistakenly allotted to BVVS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Bagalkot.
The Directorate has acknowledged this discrepancy and requested KEA to withhold the seat matrix issued for BVVS Ayurveda Medical College until the government publishes a correction notification.
| College Name | College Code | Status |
|---|---|---|
| A.V. Samiti's Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya, Vijayapura | 1735 | Granted conditional permission for additional seats by NCISM |
| BVVS Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, Bagalkot | 1743 | Seat matrix requested to be withheld pending government correction notification |
The Directorate's letter dated 02 November 2026 was addressed to the Executive Director of the Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bengaluru.
The communication refers to two earlier documents:
Government letter No. AakuKa 289 PMM 2026, dated 30 October 2026.
Directorate letter No. AYUSH/44/Development (2)/2026, dated 30 October 2026.
The letter was digitally signed by Sunil Panwar on 02 November 2026.
Candidates participating in Karnataka AYUSH Counselling 2026 should check the revised seat matrix and subsequent notifications before exercising or modifying their college preferences. The Directorate's communication requests KEA to withhold the seat matrix for BVVS Ayurveda Medical College until the state government issues a correction notification.
The letter does not provide a revised seat matrix or a new counselling schedule. Candidates should therefore follow official updates from KEA and the Karnataka AYUSH authorities.
