The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Nagaland, has announced the schedule for the State Counselling 2026 for selection of candidates against Nagaland State reserved seats in NEET UG and Non-NEET UG courses for the academic session 2026-27.

As per Notification No. DTE/ESTT-2/NEET/01/2024-25, the counselling will be conducted on August 25, 2026 (Tuesday) at the Conference Hall of the Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland, Kohima.

The counselling decision was taken in the State Common Selection Board meeting held on August 18, 2026.

Nagaland NEET UG Counselling 2026 Schedule

The counselling will be conducted at the Directorate of Technical Education, Nagaland, Kohima.

Selection Based on NEET UG 2026 Merit and Preference

The Directorate has stated that selection will be based purely on the NEET UG 2026 merit and candidates' preferences for NEET UG seats. Similarly, selection for Non-NEET UG courses will be based on the respective Non-NEET UG 2026 merit and preference.

Candidates have been advised to attend the counselling without fail. The notification clearly states that failure to attend the counselling may result in forfeiture of the candidate's candidature.

Documents Required for Nagaland Counselling 2026

Candidates attending the counselling must bring:

• Original documents/certificates required for counselling and verification.
• 10 passport-size photographs.
• Other documents as applicable to their course and candidature.

Candidates should ensure that they carry the original documents to avoid difficulties during the counselling process.

Merit and Rejected Lists Updated

The Directorate of Technical Education has also informed candidates that the Merit List and Rejected List for NEET UG and Non-NEET UG have been updated on the department's website.

Candidates are advised to check their status before attending the counselling.
