The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is scheduled to announce the NEET UG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Seat Allotment Result today, August 19, 2026. The result will determine the medical and dental seats allotted to candidates who participated in the first round of the NEET UG 2026 counselling process.
The Round 1 allotment follows the completion of the choice filling and choice locking process and the subsequent seat-allotment processing conducted by MCC on August 18 and August 19, 2026. Candidates who submitted their choices during the prescribed counselling window are advised to regularly check the official MCC portal for the allotment result.
Once released, candidates will be able to view their allotted college, course and reporting instructions by logging into the MCC counselling portal using their required credentials. Candidates allotted seats in Round 1 will then have to follow the prescribed admission and reporting schedule.
Candidates should carefully check all details mentioned in their allotment result and allotment letter. Those who receive a seat must complete the required admission formalities within the stipulated timeline. Failure to report or complete the required process within the specified deadline may result in the cancellation of the allotted seat, as per MCC counselling rules.
The NEET UG counselling is conducted for admission to undergraduate medical and dental programmes, including MBBS and BDS, under the seats covered by MCC. The counselling process includes multiple rounds of registration, choice filling, seat allotment, reporting and further upgradation opportunities as applicable.
Candidates are advised to keep their NEET UG 2026 application details, counselling credentials and required admission documents ready. They should rely only on the official MCC website for the final allotment result and subsequent counselling instructions.
Candidates should follow the instructions issued by MCC after the Round 1 result is declared. Depending on the allotment and their counselling status, candidates may be required to report to the allotted institution, complete document verification, pay the applicable admission fees and confirm their admission within the prescribed deadline.
Candidates who wish to participate in subsequent counselling rounds should also carefully read the rules regarding free exit, seat retention, upgradation and resignation before taking any decision.
Candidates should keep the following documents ready for the admission process:
