The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC), Directorate of Higher and Technical Education, Government of Puducherry, has released the Draft Merit List for UG NEET Courses for the academic year 2026-27.
The draft merit list was published on August 17, 2026, on the official CENTAC website for candidates seeking admission to NEET-based professional courses, including M.B.B.S., B.D.S., B.A.M.S. and B.V.Sc. & A.H.
The merit lists cover admissions under Government, Management, Management (Telugu Minority) and NRI Quota. The B.V.Sc. & A.H. and other applicable courses also include National Self-Supporting and NRI categories as specified by CENTAC.
According to the notice, the draft merit list has been prepared based on the cut-off marks prescribed in UG NEET 2026.
CENTAC has also published special category lists for eligible Union Territory of Puducherry candidates, including:
Candidates can check the verification status of their submitted applications through their respective candidate dashboards.
Candidates who wish to raise objections or need to submit additional certificates can do so through the OBJECTIONS link available in their dashboard.
The deadline for submitting objections and uploading certificates is August 19, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.
Candidates whose claims were rejected due to non-submission of recently renewed Revenue Certificates have also been advised to submit the proper certificates before the same deadline.
After the objections are considered and disposed of, CENTAC will publish the revised draft merit list. The committee has clarified that the number of candidates appearing in the lists may change after disposal of objections.
CENTAC has also informed candidates that the Seat Matrix for UG NEET-based courses has been published on the official website.
Candidates can update their course preferences, if required, for the Round 1 allotment.
Importantly, candidates whose course preference list remains empty will not be considered for seat allotment.
Therefore, eligible candidates should carefully check their preferences and ensure that they have submitted the required choices before the counselling process proceeds to the allotment stage.
CENTAC has issued important instructions regarding certificates and application details.
In case a candidate has submitted duplicate applications, both applications will be rejected and the candidate's candidature will be cancelled.
Candidates have also been warned that submitting false information may result in rejection of the application or cancellation of admission.
Final admission will remain subject to physical verification of documents. If any candidate is found to have submitted forged documents, their candidature will be cancelled and legal action will be initiated as per applicable law.
