The Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (BCECEB) has released a notice for Round 3 of Post Graduate Engineering Admission Counselling (PGEAC)-2026 for admission to Post Graduate (M.Tech.) courses in government engineering colleges of Bihar.

As per Advertisement No. BCECEB(PGEAC)-2026/09 dated August 30, 2026, fresh online registration and application forms are being invited from qualified, eligible and interested B.E./B.Tech. passed Non-GATE candidates who did not submit the online application form earlier.

The Round 3 counselling will be conducted against the vacant seats remaining after Round 2 counselling of Non-GATE candidates, as per the seat matrix uploaded on the official BCECEB website.

PGEAC 2026 Round 3 Counselling Only for Non-GATE Candidates

BCECEB has clarified that the Round 3 counselling is exclusively for Non-GATE candidates.

Candidates who have not previously submitted the PGEAC-2026 online application form as prescribed in the earlier advertisements can register afresh and participate in Round 3 counselling, subject to fulfilling the prescribed eligibility conditions.

The vacant seats available for Round 3 will be filled according to the seat matrix published by BCECEB.

Existing Applicants Can Submit Willingness

Non-GATE candidates who had already submitted the PGEAC-2026 online application form under the earlier advertisements and who were admitted, not admitted or absent during Round 2 can also participate in Round 3 counselling.

Such candidates are required to provide their Consent/Willingness through their candidate login by accessing the Online Application Portal of PGEAC-2026.

Candidates should submit their willingness within the prescribed schedule if they want to be considered for vacant seats in Round 3.

Candidates Admitted in Round 2 Must Submit Additional Documents

Candidates who were admitted through Round 2 of PGEAC-2026 and now submit willingness to participate in Round 3 will have to provide additional documents during the Round 3 document verification/counselling process.

Such candidates are required to submit their admission slip along with a Bonafide Certificate issued by the college where they were admitted.

The Bonafide Certificate should confirm the submission of the candidate's original documents during the earlier document verification/counselling process.

Opportunity for Candidates Affected by Percentage Discrepancy

BCECEB has also provided an opportunity for candidates who participated in Round 2 but were not allotted a seat during document verification because of a discrepancy in their B.E./B.Tech. passed percentage.

Eligible candidates can participate in Round 3 by submitting their Consent/Willingness and editing their percentage/marks in the application form data.

After making the required changes, candidates must finally submit the application form and download the Confirmation Page to verify that the edited information has been successfully updated.
