The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has released the detailed instructions for Real-Time Counselling for admission to various five-year integrated programmes offered for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates who have secured the prescribed ranks in CUSAT CAT 2026 are eligible to participate in the counselling process scheduled for 19 June 2026.
According to the official notification issued by the Directorate of Admissions, eligible candidates must complete registration between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM on the counselling day. The counselling will take place at the Seminar Complex near the Administrative Office, CUSAT, South Kalamassery, Kochi. Candidates who fail to report before the registration deadline will not be considered for the allotment process.
For Integrated M.Sc. in Biological Sciences and Environmental Science and Technology (Stream II), candidates holding ranks 1 to 200 in CAT 2026 can participate. Meanwhile, candidates ranked 1 to 500 are eligible for programmes including Integrated M.Sc. in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Chemistry, Photonics, Computer Science (AI & DS), Environmental Science and Technology (Stream I), Integrated MCA, Integrated M.Sc. Econometrics, and BVoc (Hons.) Data Science and Analytics. All candidates listed in the Integrated MA Hindi rank list, along with all eligible SC/ST candidates, can also attend the counselling process.
The university clarified that individual call letters will not be issued, and admissions will be granted strictly on the basis of CAT 2026 rank, reservation norms, eligibility conditions, and seat availability. Candidates receiving an allotment must immediately upload the required documents and complete the online fee payment through their admission portal profile. Failure to pay the prescribed fee within the stipulated time will result in cancellation of the allotted seat.
CUSAT has also informed candidates that a programme-wise waiting list will be prepared from those who attend the counselling but do not secure immediate allotment. Future vacancies, if any, will be filled from this waiting list based on rank and reservation rules.
Applicants are required to carry original documents including CAT 2026 Admit Card, Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, Transfer Certificate, Conduct Certificate, Aadhaar Card, passport-sized photographs, community certificates (if applicable), migration certificate for non-Kerala students, and proof of Keralite status wherever necessary. Candidates belonging to reserved categories must produce the relevant supporting documents issued by competent authorities.
The university has advised all eligible candidates to carefully review the admission prospectus available on the official admission portal and ensure that they satisfy all eligibility requirements before attending the counselling session.
