The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has issued Notice No. 22 dated October 7, 2026, announcing the revised schedule for CAP Round 1 and CAP Round 2 for admission to BPTH, BOTH, BASLP, B P&O and BNYS courses under Group C for the academic year 2026-27.

The revised schedule was issued after the earlier CAP Round 1 process, which was scheduled for September 30, 2026, was postponed. According to the State CET Cell, several colleges, including government colleges, could not be included in the choice-filling process because they had not received affiliation at that time. The office also received communication from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik, requesting that the process be halted as several other colleges were in the process of receiving affiliation.

MUHS, Nashik has now granted approval to many additional colleges for Group C courses. Therefore, the State CET Cell has announced a revised schedule for CAP Round 1 and CAP Round 2.

Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Group C CAP Round 1 Schedule

The revised seat matrix based on the affiliation list received from MUHS, Nashik will be published on October 8, 2026.

The online choice/preference filling process for CAP Round 1 will be conducted from October 9 to October 11, 2026, up to 11:59 PM. Candidates who had already filled their choices earlier will be allowed to edit their preferences and add the newly included colleges, if they wish to do so.

The CAP Round 1 selection/allotment will be declared on October 12, 2026.

Candidates allotted seats in CAP Round 1 will have to complete physical joining at the allotted college from October 13 to October 16, 2026, up to 5:30 PM. Candidates must report with all original documents and the requisite fees through Demand Draft (DD).

Maharashtra NEET UG 2026 Group C CAP Round 2 Schedule

For CAP Round 2, the seat matrix will be published on October 17, 2026.

The online choice/preference filling process for CAP Round 2 will be held from October 18 to October 20, 2026, up to 11:59 PM. The State CET Cell has specifically clarified that choices filled during CAP Round 1 will become null and void for CAP Round 2. Candidates wishing to participate in CAP Round 2 must therefore fill fresh choices.

The CAP Round 2 result will be declared on October 21, 2026.

Candidates allotted seats in CAP Round 2 will have to complete physical joining at the allotted college from October 22 to October 25, 2026, up to 5:30 PM, along with all original documents and the requisite fee through DD.

The State CET Cell has also clarified that payment by cheque will be permitted on bank holidays. However, the cheque must be replaced with a Demand Draft on the next working day. Failure to submit the DD within the prescribed period may lead to cancellation of admission.

Revised Maharashtra Group C CAP Schedule 2026

The State CET Cell has stated that the schedule for subsequent counselling rounds will be announced separately in due course.

The counselling schedule is subject to change based on directions issued by the concerned Central Council, Central Government, State Government or Hon'ble Court. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official Maharashtra State CET Cell website, www.mahacet.org, for the latest updates regarding the counselling process.
